I bought the Aspire One primarily for use on the Internet and also for the photos. Purchase the 6.5 hours of battery and that is the best part of this netbook. I bought a Samsung DVD-RW. I am very satisfied with this

I am a little 'less satisfied with the Aspire One as it slowly something I wanted to avoid. If you're planning to buy Aspire One, ultimately cost far more than you might think. E 'need to purchase additional memory, as the larger battery and the portable unit. These three themes driving up the cost. You can also purchase the software you need to know: protection against viruses, Microsoft Word or in the office to begin with.

I am an American citizen in Venezuela. I work as a sworn translator for a living. I bought this little gadget for the quality of life to get so I can work in the garden or on the beach or traveling. So, I thought to obtain benefits from 60-day trial of Microsoft Office 2007 and then purchase the product, if I liked it, otherwise I buy Office Professional. I tried to ask the license key to activate the product and would not let me because I live in Venezuela. My mind is inconceivable. I am really angry with this and that is why I gave it two stars.

I took this netbook, in part because it was advertised as an LED backlit display and it was advertised as "green" laptop. However, after I bought it, I realized that this was anything but. I turned over, saying that as a result. "Lamp contains mercury. Dispose of in accordance with applicable local and national." As we all know, has brought them contain mercury, CCFL do. So there you have it … Netbook on the back - this is a laptop backlight CCFL although advertised as a LED backlight. He also said that the cable shows the manual handling of lead, a chemical known State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm … lovely. I tried to ask Toshiba's "technical assistance" on it and were useless .. could not even pronounce the ice. Needless to say that I'm back soon.

This little note book is perfect for when my wife and I travel. We were always having to stop a local libraries hotels or other places that we could access a computer. Now we just need to find a friendly WiFi spot and we can find local attractions buy tickets, find restaurants ets. Great deal, right price.

I love my Asus to 35,000 feet and at airports. Battery until promised (for 7 to 9 hours). I can see the entire flight basic TiVo (TIVO recording quality is OK Go). It fits comfortably on the tray of food, even with the seat in front of me again, as it goes. Boots very quickly and closing fast. I took two small screws at the base of the PC and easily replace the factory installed 1 GB of RAM to 2 GB and replaced the 160 GB hard drive, 500 GB SATA hard drive. The only problem I found is that the volume with the Asus produces is very low, so the headphones or earplugs to be very good - you do not hear anything with headphones at low cost.
