I purchased my Lenovo S10-2 in April ‘09. I’ve found it to be surprisingly useful. At home I use it extensively to surf the net and keep up on email. I no longer carry my larger laptop back and forth to work. I’ve loaded the little S10 with all of the same software as I use on my primary computer (MS Office Professional, Visio, Project, Adobe, etc.). It’s only a little slow to load the applications and works great in a pinch. I’d make it my primary computer, but the screen is too small and scrolling back and forth all day can be tiring. Still, it’s very handy for travel or when I don’t want to carry my larger laptop. It fits easily in my carry on and add about the same weight as a book. Keep in mind you’ll need also carry an external drive if you want to watch DVDs.

I bought mine in White. I took out the Amazon credit card and got 30 bucks off. I had spent nigh on a month trying to get this decision right. I sold my Asus EEE 901 for 280 and got this for 260 all in.
This machine is a panacea to portable computing needs. I upgraded the ram, but that’s not really necessary… I use it with home broadband, airport broadband and a Verizon USB broadband connection and it goes like hell.
Nice pink/lavender color, good display, overall good Lenovo quality. The only things I’ll change is upgrade to Windows 7 Home and change out the 1gb sodimm for a 2gb.
I just got one for my wife recently and it works greats (besides the XP home edition preloaded in the netbook). I’ve tested both my wireless N1 and wireless G routers and the netbook got excellent signal and connections to the internet. I saw there are a few reviews indicating the netbook is unable to connect. This may not be related to the netbook itself. It can be the router itself or the interferences in the house itself. Try to switch different wireless channel or get a signal booster (extended antenna) for the router will help. Be aware the netbook itself is mainly used for light browsing and the atom processor is definitely does not have sufficient power to process HD video steams or heavy-loaded java applications. So far I’m happy with the battery life and the light-weighted of the netbook itself and most importantly you will not feel the heat from the bottom of the netbook. The camera resolution is a bit low as well as the response. This could be a CMOS camera instead of the CCD.
So far I think the netbook delivers most of the features that a netbook should have.

Just got it today. It is pinker than it seems in the picture (I thought it looked sort of lavender). It’s nice and tiny and light. The battery helps position the computer so that it sits up off the work surface and can breathe. The Windows 7 thing seems to be great so far: a lot better than Windows Vista. I’m not sure if it says anywhere in the description, but it comes with Word installed, which makes my life as a student much easier. I’m not a computer expert by any means, but from what I can tell, this easily will serve its purpose as an extra machine to take notes on and take to the library. It’s very quick on the Internet, as well. A great deal for the money…as far as I can see.
