Toshiba Mini NB205-N330BN 10.1-Inch Sable Brown Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

This is now previous generation model. I got it for well under 0. I still highly recommend it.
BTW, I upgraded mine to 2gig.

I bought it after 3 months of research, I wasn’t to sure about it but I decided I was going for it after reading some pretty good stuff about it. For now, I love it! It’s very good. It’s size fit perfectly to my life for I can carry it anywhere! My older sister is even jealous because my battery stays longer than her laptop
.. I use the wireless to go on facebook, tchek my email, go on msn.. The only thing is that it’s kind of slow when I want to watch a movie or go on youtube.. I have to put down the volume, wait hours before I could watch it without disruption. But it’s not it fault, it’s the wireless. I recommend it to everyone that needs something lighter and cheaper than a laptop! It might not fit everyone’s style, so If you are not satisfy don’t blame the notebook!

good computer, windows 7 starter should list what they stripped like the ability to personalize th desktop wall paper and other basic but nice features to have. stick to xp on netbooks or upgrade windows 7

I was mainly looking for a “laptop” that was light with a great battery life and I found it. The battery on this netwbook is great. It is also fast in terms of booting it up, browsing the web, etc. I reccomend using firefox or google chrome.
The only bad thing about this laptop is Windows 7 starter.

I’ve owned the Asus for a about a month-and-a-half now, and have been very happy with it’s performance and size. I did purchase a 2GB stick of RAM for it, which I would recommend, as well as a small carrying case to keep things neat. It has worked flawlessly to date. I remember reading someone’s review indicating that it seemed to get overly warm with operation; I have not found that to be the case. Asus indicates the battery should run for 8.5 hours between charges, but I suspect under normal operation that might be a bit overly-optimistic. That being said, the battery does last quite a while before a re-charge is needed, and I like the fact that I can replace the battery myself if needed. It also runs very quietly and that’s a plus. I’m running most of my desktop apps on this machine as well and have had no issues. I would highly recommend this netbook for consideration.

This laptop has been working great! The only thing that I would want people to know is that they should really look into upgrading the memory to 2GB. Also, if you want your mini laptop to fit into a protective sleeve, or travel bag that is specifically made for a 10″ mini laptop, do not get the larger size battery because it won’t fit and you will have to take the battery off every time you put it away. Overall this computer performs great for surfing the web and traveling.

Ok i was reading through all the reviews here before i went and bought a netbook and I have to say i was scared by the reviews on here. The fat battery thing in particular. Well I got one anyway and I had to say that i am NOT disappointed in any way so far. Yes it does indeed have a very strange battery design, possibly even ugly….BUT it has an amazing battery life and other than that it’s awesome! This little guy is weightless and works like a charm. It can do everything my mac powerbook can do and it’s a lot smaller and lighter. It did have a small issue in that windows 7 starter wouldn’t let me make my own wallpaper at first and that’s BAD! But before you get mad like I did, let me inform you that you can you know *nudge* *nudge* fix it, so that you can make your own wallpaper no sweat. So once that problem was overcome I so far haven’t had any issues using it to everything i usually do on a laptop. Watch movies, download files, itunes, etc. I don’t recommend anything like dvd creation or things like that, but that’s obvious anyway….
